Challenge: Create a healthcare reception facility of the future. The space should be futuristic as well as research based. Be sure to consider branding as well as overall space design.
Solution: I invented Biome, a biomedical institution that researches, develops, and treats with the plant structure of the cell wall from different regions of the world. Currently, a lot of research is being done to compare and contrast a seemingly similar structure of the cell wall in different regions based on climate, altitude, precipitation, etc. I took this concept further in the future to develop its medicinal properties, in a hypothetical clinic that has developed thousands of plant-derived compounds. The enormous structural diversity of these plants suggests a bright future for medicinal plant genomics. The main element is the pattern seen in the plan and stainless steel screen running throughout the space. This is meant to imitate the solid, geometric structure of plant cells. I use it as a light source to illustrate the healing coming from within the cells as well as on the floor as a circulation path to imitate the direction that the cells provide in the medical treatment center.
